I Meant To Do My Work Today
by Richard Le Gallienne
I meant to do my work today,
But a brown bird sang in the apple tree,
And a butterfly flitted across the field,
And all the leaves were calling me.
And the wind went sighing over the land,
Tossing the grasses to and fro,
And a rainbow held out its shining hand,
So what could I do but laugh and go?

That's funny I am on my third try with Persian Shield. I love that plant and will not give up....at least not yet. I'm in North FL
Hi darla, thank you for letting me know!! I was beginning to think I was the only one having problems with this plant. It's so pretty and adds such a bright "pop" so I really, really want it to grow. :-)
